Congratulations are in order for Beyonce and Jay Z. According to International Business Times, they are music’s first billionaire couple. From the looks of it, it was Bey’s latest business ventures (H&M Line & Mrs. Carter Tour) that help take the couple over the top!
Sources are reporting that Bey will make approximately $116 million from The Mrs Carter Show, while her H&M earnings are also thought to be in the millions. Her work with L’Oreal and Tommy Hilfiger; album sales, film roles and endorsement with Gucci were all contributing factors.
Jay Z business plan was pretty large as well. He is co-founder of Roc Nation; co-owner of the 40/40 nightclub; co-creator of fashion label Rocawear; former CEO of Def Jam Recordings and through his shares in the Brooklyn Nets basketball. That doesn’t even include his $50 million from album sales.
