Whomp Whomp!
Rihanna may be doing well on tour, but the documentary of her tour didn’t do so well on television. Earlier in the year, Rihanna went on a week long tour; seven concerts each in a different city in North America and Europe in seven days. Rihanna wanted to document this hectic journey and release it to her fans. All of this she did, but the response was not as great as some may have predicted.
Like many other artists, Rihanna had her documentary aired on the FOX Netowrk. The documentary was aired Monday, May 6th, only pulled in two million viewers, with 1.8 million. Not only did the viewers hit hard for the documentary, but so did the critics. Saying :
“Instead of revealing the entertaining tumult that characterized the 777 Tour, the documentary crew has chastened the experience in the editing room, glossing over the rioting incident and the long hours spent waiting around for Rihanna to finish lingerie shopping in Paris.”
OUCH! Well I am pretty sure some Rih Rih fans want to know what kind of under garments she’s wearing, but I guess in retrospect, it’s not “documentary material”. Either way, I doubt that Rihanna is hurt by the ratings, she is still releasing the ‘777’ documentary on DVD for her #Navy.
