Last night’s Game 6 against the reigining NBA Champions the Miami Heat, and the San Antonio Spurs will be one of the most memorable games of this series. The American Airlines Arena was packed with Florida locals and stars; but one famous Florida native wasn’t in attendance for the magic, and will also miss the magic on Thursday. That native is rapper Flo-Rida, and his manader Freezy.
NBA games have always been frequented by celebrities from the A down to the D list. From rappers to actors, they all want to be in the building for the action, with a good match up like this especially. Now, unlike Lil Wayne and Birdman, Flo-Rida and Freezy weren’t banned by the Heat because of their opinions, they were banned by the Spurs because of their “energy”! San Antonio Spurs Head Coach Greg Popovich, asked that Flo-Rida and his manager Freezy not be allowed to attend Games six and seven of the series; both being two of the biggest of the series.
When speaking on the incident, Flo-Rida’s manager Freezy said, “They were just telling me we had too much energy and the head coach complained about it. Them cats want an easy win. They ain’t used to that Miami Heat support right next to them in their ears.” With that logic, that reason could be very true. Either way, Flo-Rida and his manager will be watching the next game via big screen television.
The next and last game of the 2013 NBA Finals will be this Thursday. Who do you have for the win!?
Me personally, I am a LeBron fan, so I have the Miami Heat taking this game. Not to mention it is a home game…Go Heat!!
