Serena Goes Down at Wimbledon
I’m not sure if it was the London air or her etch-a-sketch eyebrows or better yet her lion’s mane hairdo but the top woman’s tennis player Serena Williams was ousted today in the 2013 Wimbledon. Wimbledon has not been nice to most of the top players both men and women this year. You can now add Serena to the list of down and out champions. She was defeated by Sabine Lisicki of Germany, 6-2, 1-6, 6-4. The loss stopped Serena’s 34-game win streak.
All is not lost since the only American left in the tournament is 20-year old, Sloane Stephens. She is still coasting and beasting in the tournament.
