This is not good news for Frank Ocean or his fans.
With doctors orders, singer/songwriter Frank Ocean will have to rest his voice. The order to rest his voice comes after a tear was discovered in his vocal chords. Because of this news, Frank had to cancel the rest of his tour in Australia. The announcement of cancellation was posted on the Live Nation Australia page. Reading :
Live Nation and Niche Productions regret to announce that Frank Ocean’s remaining Australian dates will not go ahead due to illness. After last night’s concert in Melbourne at Festival Hall, it was necessary to seek medical advice due to vocal issues Frank Ocean experienced during the show. It has subsequently been confirmed that Frank has suffered a small tear to one of his vocal chords and has received medical advice that he must rest his voice. This makes the completion of his remaining Australian dates impossible.
Frank must have done the damage during at previous show, at the Melbourne Festival Hall. Even though the other shows in Australia were canceled, there will not be a rain check concert. The ticket buyers will receive a refund for their ticket however. Although ticket buyers are upset at the situation, it is best for Frank to rest his voice now, than for him to be scarred forever.
Hopefully Frank is well rested and ready to perform by August 4th, as he is scheduled to headline Drake’s OVO Festival in Toronto.
