Rihanna released her first album in 2005 but didn’t have a break-out year until she released her 3rd album, Good Girl Gone Bad in June 2007. The album had eight hit singles which included “Umbrella,” “Shut Up and Drive,” “Don’t Stop the Music,” “Hate That I Love You,” “Rehab,” “Disturbia,” “Take a Bow,” and “If I Never See Your Face Again.” All of those singles reached the Top 20 on the Billboard Hot 100. She currently has the record for most #1 dance records with 20 #1′s, finally surpassing Janet Jackson.
Why She Doesn’t Compare:
Rihanna may have several records and sold millions of records worldwide, but the one complaint from the fans is her actual singing. And when comparing vocals with the likes of Whitney Houston, Rihanna doesn’t come close to anybody that would come close to coming close to the pop legend.
