2013 was an interesting year for music, who was nominated and who will be a seat filler!?
The Grammy Awards is the BIGGEST and BADDEST music award show. This year is the 56th Grammy Awards, and the show will be held in Los Angeles, at the Staples Center, January 26th. This year’s Grammy date is different from a usual February show. The nominees were announced at the Grammy Nominations Live which aired over the weekend.
Leading the pack with a smooth nine nominations, is Jay Z; I bet these nominations beat any birthday present he received last week. Following behind Jay with seven nominations are Kendrick Lamar, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, Pharrell Williams, and Jay’s 2013 partner in crime, Justin Timberlake.
The nominee leaders are an interesting pack, and some of them will go head to head. Jay Z, Kendrick Lamar and Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, are nominated for “Best Rap Album”, including Kanye West and Drake; now THIS will be the category to watch as all artists had phenomenal albums this year.
