Kerry Washington was snubbed in a major way at the 66th Emmy Awards last night.
What is there to say about tonight’s ceremony, beauties? The Emmys got it all the way wrong! Up for the Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series award, The “Scandal” star lost the prize to Julianna Marguiles for her role on “The Good Wife.”
Whatever, Emmys! Apparently, phenomenal acting, spawning a clothing line and sending millions of people into a tizzy every single week wasn’t enough for Kerry and “Scandal” to secure the honor.
Gladiators everywhere were obviously disappointed tonight because the show didn’t get that many nominations to begin with (even though they are well deserved)! It was a great night for “Breaking Bad” and all of the people who love it.
The AMC drama about a science teacher-turned-Meth kingpin swept the Emmys, winning every award it was up for this evening, including Outstanding Drama Series. Four Emmys for the final season isn’t a bad way to go out.
Brown girls may not have gotten a lot of love inside the ceremony tonight (Angela Bassett and Cicely Tyson were also snubbed tonight), but they definitely rocked the runway! Did you see Keke Palmer‘s dress?! And we’re glad that Uzo Aduba was recognized for her amazing work as Crazy Eyes on “Orange Is The New Black.”
Ah, well. There’s always next year–and we know that Patti LaBelle better get a nomination for her upcoming role on “American Horror Story: Freakshow.”
