Wendy Williams Responds To Aaliyah Biopic Reactions

The internet had plenty to say about Lifetime’s Aaliyah Biopic and this morning Wendy Williams, who produced the film, finally responded to all the criticism.
While the movie aired, the hashtag #LifetimeBeLike began trending on Twitter producing hilarious memes of potential biopics with outrageous casting suggestions. Needless to say, the film did not bode over well with most, but Wendy doesn’t care too much about that— she’s just happy that people watched. Here’s what she had to say about it on her show this morning:
I see my Aaliyah movie broke the Internet this weekend! Errbody got an opinion. Well, I must tell you, whether you loved or hate, you watched. It was the second-highest rated movie on all of cable this year so far.
