Headin’ down south!

The Republicans finally got more of a taste of southern voters positions, with Rick Santorum winning the Mississippi and Alabama primaries.

The Republican presidential hopefuls who remain in the race are Mitt Romney, Rick Santorum, Newt Gingrich and Ron Paul. Romney is leading in the race with the most states won and delegates awarded.

Santorum has won both Mississippi and Alabama. And Romney did well in our outland territories, winning the Hawaii and America Samoa caucuses.

In just Mississippi and Alabama Romney has spent more on TV ads than Santorum and Gingrich combined.

Both Gingrich and Paul show small possibilities of actually being able to secure a win in either Hawaii or South Samoa.

Gingrich has been able to stay in the race due to large campaign donations, most notably from millionaire casino mogul Sheldon Adelson.

Paul has yet to win a state and skipped the Southern primaries, hoping to allocate his resources to caucus states.
