Oklahoma City Thunder v Golden State Warriors - Game Seven

According to various news sources, Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green was arrested and charged with assault in East Lansing, Michigan on Sunday. The details of Green’s arrest has not been released yet.

Lt. Scott Wrigglesworth, the East Lansing police department Public Information Officer says” The police department is not confirming any arrest with that name and “What I can confirm is that we did arrest a current NBA basketball player this weekend and he was arrested for assault. That’s all we’re confirming right now.”

Green has 10 days to return to East Lansing to be arraigned. He is a member of the U.S. Basketball team that’s headed to the Rio Olympics in August.

Green was suspended for game 5 of the NBA finals against the eventual champion Cleveland Cavaliers after throwing a punch near Lebron James‘ groin and getting a flagrant foul afterwards. During the Western Conference Finals, Green, leg hit Oklahoma City Thunder center Steven Adams near his groin nearly costing him a game.
