DIVA’S DAILY DIRT: Diddy Named in Tupac Trial Testimony

New testimony in the Tupac Shakur murder case is bringing a familiar allegation back into the spotlight. During proceedings involving Duane “Keefe D” Davis, retired Los Angeles police detective Greg Kading testified about statements Davis allegedly made to investigators in 2008. According to the testimony, Davis claimed Sean “Diddy” Combs had offered money to have Tupac Shakur and Death Row Records co-founder Suge Knight killed.
The allegation involving Combs has circulated publicly for years and does not establish that he was involved in Shakur’s 1996 killing. Combs has previously denied allegations connecting him to the murder.
Meanwhile, Drake is making headlines for two very different reasons. DJ Akademiks raised concerns about what he described as swatting incidents involving himself, Drake and music executive Larry Jackson. However, key details surrounding the claims remain unverified, and Drake has not publicly addressed the reported incident.
Outside of the speculation, Drake is continuing to grow his business portfolio. The rapper is expanding his presence in live entertainment with plans for a second History music and entertainment venue in Canada.
Mary J. Blige also got personal during an appearance on Michelle Obama and Craig Robinson’s “IMO” podcast. The Queen of Hip-Hop Soul reflected on her decision not to have children and how her perspective has evolved as she’s gotten older.
Blige explained that when she was younger, she viewed parenting through the lens of the responsibilities and sacrifices she saw family members making. Now, she says she better understands the value children can bring to people’s lives as they grow older.
