Virginia Senate Passes Texting While Driving Bill
(Richmond, VA) — A bill which would make texting while driving a primary offense has the solid approval of the Virginia state Senate. By a 28-12 margin, senators have moved the legislation forward. The House of Delegates is expected to take up the measure next. Right now, police can only charge motorists with driving while texting if they have been pulled over for a different violation.
