2015 BET Awards - Show

The 2015 BET Awards did not disappoint this year, and we may have P. Diddy, aka Puff Daddy, to thank for that.

The highly anticipated Bad Boy Reunion was one of the main highlights of the show. Diddy rounded up his old comrades (including Faith Evans, Mase, Lil Kim, The Lox, and 112) and sparked the nostalgia, performing hits like “All About The Benjamins” and “Peaches & Cream.”

But in Bad Boy’s twenty-year legacy, there were many more artists who contributed to the rise of an empire, but didn’t make the cut for the BET performance.

Check out our list of Bad Boy elite we wish we got to see perform during the tribute.

Da Band

1. Da Band

P. Diddy made reality TV history during his talent search to find the best rappers and singers to form a band for MTV’s Making The Band 2. After weeks of selecting, Diddy finally chose Sara Stokes, Dylan Dilinjah, Freddy P, Choppa, Ness and Babs to make up “Da Band.” Thirteen years later, most of the group is working on solo projects, while Sara Stokes made headlines last year for legal trouble.

Danity Kane

2. Danity Kane

Danity Kane was Diddy’s version of a female supergroup, and while they achieved much success, their tension off stage forced the group to disband multiple times. After they reunited as DK3 in 2014, they broke up once again when Aubrey O’Day accused Dawn Richard of punching her in the face.

3. Day 26

For Making The Band 4, Diddy went on a quest for an all-male R&B music group. After months of ups and downs, Robert CurryBrian AngelWillie Taylor, Qwanell Mosley and Michael McCluney were his chosen five. Following a breakup and solo careers, the group reunited in 2014 and released their album The Return.

4. Total

Being as though Diddy brought out the best Bad Boy artists of the ’90s during his BET performance, it left fans wondering, “Where is Total?” Total was known as one of the signature acts of Bad Boy’s imprint during the 1990s. Keisha Spivey, who is married to Omar Epps, has remained on the scene over the years, while Kima Raynor and Pamela Long have kept a low profile. Last year, the group reunited at the Legends of Bad Boy Concert.

Craig Mack & Notorious B.I.G.

5. Craig Mack

‘Where Is Craig Mack?’ has been a running joke of the music industry for years. He’s known as the guy who helped build an empire and didn’t get to enjoy it. Besides dropping a random mixtape in 2012, Mack has been off the grid for years. He now currently resides in the Overcomer Ministry located in Walterboro, South Carolina.

Loon

6. Loon

Loon was the smooth-voiced MC who helped usher Bad Boy into the new millennium. After parting ways with the label in 2004, he converted to Islam and ended his music career. He was arrested in 2011 while in Brussels, extradited to the United States, and sentenced to 14 years imprisonment for long-standing drug offenses.

Sean Diddy Combs & Black Rob

7. Black Rob

After the success of his platinum single “Whoa” in 2000, Rob parted ways with Bad Boy in 2010 and hasn’t seen the spotlight since. Suffering a stroke in 2014, Rob got back to the music, started his own independent label and plans to drop an album in 2015.
