Jay-Z has been on the lips of everyone lately. From the White House officials, down to the community, Jay-Z is a big topic! (big is actually an understatement). To add to the “Jay-Z conversations”, he is now on the cover of TIME Magazine.
Jay-Z has been chosen to grace one of the seven covers, for their 100 most influential people in the world!! The rapper/mogul has been said to embody “what makes New York New York”. Not only is Jay-Z being featured on and in TIME, but the story is covered by New York Mayor, Michael Bloomberg. Here is an excerpt of the story from TIME :
“…never lets go of his dream, makes it to the top — and then keeps going, pursuing new outlets for his creativity and ambition. When no one would sign him to a record contract, he created his own label and built a music empire — before going on to design clothing lines, open sports bars and, most recently, represent professional athletes.”
There is no doubt that Jay-Z has an amazing story. Literally her has “started from the bottom, now we here”, if I may quote Drake. Some of the other people to accompany Jay on this list are, Obama’s adviser, Valarie Jarrett, co-founder of Instagram Kevin Systrom, and designer Michael Kors, to name a few.
