It’s undoubtedly the talk of the city that we are in jeopardy of losing yet another historical staple in our community, the Washington Washington Football Team logo and team nickname. The name is legendary and the franchise has been around since forever, it will be tough to see it go. Sadly, what it’s looking like is that it’s not a matter of if anymore, it’s more so when the switch will happen. NFL is meeting with the group who feels that the name should be changed. All of the media attention is bound to make a change.
Who knows what is going to happen but Website 99 Designs held a contest to see what ideas people had for the Washington Football Team to change to, check out some of the possibilities below. Should the name be changed?
If the name offends a majority of the Indian population in our country, then by all means it should be changed. Heritage outweighs a few Super Bowls any day of the week. On the opposite, if only a small amount of Indians are upset then it should remain. My take right there.
