Just days away from her 30th birthday, the singer and actress has announced that she’ll be reprising the role of Effie Melody White in a London production of “Dreamgirls”.
The production, which premiered on Broadway in 1981 will be celebrating it’s 35th year. Beginning this November, you can catch Amber at the world famous Savoy Theatre. Her cast mates have yet to be announced.
Amber shared a photo with the original “Dreamgirls”, Jennifer Holliday, Sheryl Lee Ralph and Loretta Devine. In her inspirational caption she said that she never would have known that taking the photo with the cast was actually prophesying her future.
“I may not have a million credits on my IMDB, but every single step I’ve taken in my career so far, has been ordered by GOD and has been significant to my purpose on this earth. Which is to encourage others to dream big, have faith, and never ever give up” she said.
“I am so honored to be doing this and I am so excited to sing my face off and act my tail off every single night. I have to make you guys proud. I just have to I declared all last year that 2016 was gonna be my year because I made a vow to put the WORK in! I’m just getting started” she added.
