Maryland Senate Approves Same-Sex Marriage Bill
(Annapolis, MD) — A bill legalizing same-sex marriages in Maryland is on its way to Governor Martin O’Malley’s desk after being approved yesterday in the state Senate. The vote was 25-22. The governor has promised to sign the bill into law. However,opponents are already organizing a petition drive which would put the issue on the November ballot.
