Last week, we reported on the drive by shooting of MMG boss, Rick Ross. Ross was involved in the shooting as he was leaving his birthday party. It was then that fire was open on the Rolls Royce of Ross and a female passenger. To avoid being hit, Ross crashed his car into a building. Neither Rick Ross nor the passenger were hit by the bullets, or hurt from the crash.
Since then, several have come to the media, making allegations that Rick Ross planned the drive-by shooting. 50 Cent says he feels that the shooting was fake, while the real Rick Ross, was not shocked by what happened. Either way, the situation did happen, and now Rick Ross is taking proper precaution to protect himself.
Rick Ross’s label mate and MMG artist Wale, spoke out on the situation. Hiphopwired.com reports Wale saying :
“God forbid something happens to anybody, they’ll be playing people’s records all day and acting like you know…I even unfollowed a lot of people on Twitter while that was happening because it’s a joke to y’all cause you see somebody on TV everyday, but what if that’s your friend? Cause that’s my friend.”
He went on to say that this situation was a serious matter, and that with the recent lost of a brother, the situation really hit home for him. Because of this attempted shooting, Rick Ross has since then beefed up on security. He has booked security guards, to be with him for a full 24 hour day.
