“I know longer have the strength to do this job…”
Pope Benedict XVI (the 16th) has made the decision to resign as The Pope, on February 28th. The Pope has made this decision due to the fact that he feels he can no longer do the job effectively, because of his health. The Pope, who is 85 years old, made this announcement to the Vatican today.
Pope Benedict is the 265th Pope, and the sixth German to serve as Pope, since the 11th century.
