I blame Beyonce…

According to UrbanDictionary the slang term “stunt” is a noun that can defined as “someone doing something outlandish simply to illicit a response”. Welp, this may be the stunt to end ALL stunts.

An 8-year-old African boy made a commitment some 40-year-olds are still afraid to make. He walked back up the aisle, not as a ring bearer, but as a groom, after marrying the 61-year old “woman he loves”. *side eye*

Get all of the strange details and even a comment from his newgrandmother wife, after the jump!

RadarOnline first reported that the boy, Sanele, felt it was his duty to marry this 61-year-old mother in order to honor the wishes of his ancestors:

“Sanele is named after his grandfather, who was never had a white wedding before he died so asked Sanele to get married. He chose Helen because he loves her.”

And this wasnt just some run-of-the-mill wedding; the family put together a $1,400 South African ceremony complete with 100 guests for the child groom and his old lady. And after the two said their ‘I Do’s’, the bride and groom tried to justify such an epic stunt:

The bride:

“I would say that this is not wrong. Sanele was fine and he was happy about the ceremony and it was what he wanted. He was happy to get married and very excited.”

The groom:

“I told my mother that I wanted to get married because I really did want to. I’m happy that I married Helen — but I will go to school and study hard.”

Atleast in this region of South Africa polygamy reigns supreme, with the 8-year-old vowing:

When I’m older I will marry a lady my own age.

*leaves to puke* There should be international laws prohibiting such mess…where the hell is Nelson Mandela?
