Last night, many of us were forced to make the tough decision of whether to watch the BET Hip Hop Awards or the first Democratic debate. I opted to take a listen to who might potentially be running the United States of America in the next year, and it definitely did not disappoint! The gloves were off and the issues were out, and no one held back, including moderator Anderson Cooper, who did not hold back on tough questions. More than 15million people watched the Democratic debate, setting a record for the party…so how did Lincoln Chafee, Jim Webb, former MD governor Martin O’Malley, Bernie Sanders, and front runner Hillary Clinton fair in the debate? P.S.- I really like Bernie and Hillary together…but Martin O’Malley brings a little youthful fire to the field too (he did not look good in regards to questions about Baltimore and prison reform)…Jim Webb was a bit stiff for me and I didn’t take too kindly to him calling affirmative action”state sponsored racism…” and Lincoln Chafee was just trying to hang on…what did you think?
